Maintain your spiritual health!!

Pay attention to your Spiritual health:

Don't forget that you are spirit as well as body and mind. Listen to your heart and look at your life and do what is necessary to keep it healthy. The peace and love is there, all that you need to be healthy and happy. The magic is in you to know the answers for your life, for your well being.
Psalm 145: 15,16. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

Maintain your spiritual health:

Develop good habits to look after yourself, including your spirit! Spend the time you need to listen, to your life, your world, others close to you and that small voice inside of you that comes from love. Don't forget your friends. Go out and have quality time with them! And ask God for help in everything. God is always there to help you!
John 16: 13. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.

Grow spiritually:

Increase your  prayer time, your meditation time, your time to think things through. Get out and get involved with others, live!! You exercise to keep your body strong, exercise your spirit. Listen to others and pray for them, pray with them. Trust God enough to love others with your actions. Change you attitude and be thankful for your life and all the blessings it offers.

John 15:5. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
2 Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Ephesians 3: 17-19. so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Top 10 Ways to Boost Spiritual Health
(From The Christian Post)
1) Prayer; silence and solitude:
Spending time in God’s presence, with or without words, empowers us. It is a privilege and a gift to be able to commune with God through prayer.

2) Listening to God; spiritual journaling:
Listening-paying attention-to God’s whispers in our hearts reminds us that God is active in our lives. Writing down prayers, thoughts, questions, longings and hopes proves meaningful to many people of faith.

3) Private and corporate worship:
Praising God opens us to the Holy Spirit, reorders our priorities and redirects our paths. Worship connects us to God on a wholistic level.
4) Bible-reading and study:
Meditating on God’s Word keeps us focused on God, rather than on our problems and wants. Through the Bible God speaks to us and guides us personally.

5) Obeying God’s commands:
Putting our faith into practice increases our joy. This is one of the paradoxes of faith: when we submit ourselves to God, we find ourselves-and in an odd way, we are freed.

6) Loving God and our neighbors:
Surrendering to God leads us to a life of love. God is love, and when we live and serve in Christ, we experience love ourselves.
7) Stepping out in faith when urged to do something:
Trusting in God’s guidance strengthens our faith. When we dare to step out in faith, we learn that God is with us wherever we go and that God is more powerful than our fear.

8) Fasting, not necessarily from food-perhaps from TV or something else: Finding time or space to pay attention to God by giving up something else blesses us beyond measure. We need to guard our hearts as well as our time from distractions.
9) Serving others:
Reorienting our attitude away from self keeps us on the right track. Following Jesus in serving others heightens our own experience of grace.

10) Fellowship with other believers:
Building and being part of a Christian community equips us for sharing and caring, within and beyond that community. The values of God’s kingdom are different than those of the world, so we need the support and encouragement of other believers in order to truly live as Christians in our daily lives.

February Prayers 2017

The Month of love!

Let's keep loving and keep up hope! Love those around you in your immediate world while continuing to pray for peace throughout the planet. And let's not forget it is up to us to pray for those in authority whether we agree with them or not. Bad mouthing won't bring about change we would want, but prayer has positive affects. Pray that world leaders have wisdom, love, and seek inspiration from God, from loving intentions, not selfish ambition.

Let's remember the contributions of those who have immigrated to our continent, which have been great! Of course this month we are celebrating the contributions the African-Americans have made over the years.

What we are praying for:

This month let's pray that love will be pure and continue among all peoples in the world! Let's pray for our world leaders that they find it in themselves to rule with a true heart, be filled with wisdom, and represent all peoples that they govern. Let's pray for the immigrants and those displaced that they are protected as they travel and find a safe place to settle. Let's pray that all peoples in the general public find it in their hearts to accept and befriend those who come into their country from other places despite their differences. May those in minorities seeking refuge find it.

Let's pray for those who were bereaved by the Quebec City mosque shooting. Let's continue to pray for the safety of all Muslims and that people in our country will get better understanding of them.

Scriptures from the Quran:

"O mankind! Allah created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you despise each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." Nobel Qur'an (49:13)

The reward of goodness is nothing but goodness. (Al Quran 55:61)

Scriptures from the Bible:

Matthew 25:34-46English Standard Version (ESV)

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Psalm 41:1-3
For the choir director: A psalm of David. Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble. The LORD protects them and keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies. The LORD nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.

Happy New Year 2017!!

Let's make our New Year's Resolution that we will stop complaining and instead speak positively and give people compliments, looking for the good in them instead of criticizing negatively or hurtfully. Life can and will work out well. People may do bad things , but are not necessarily bad people. Let's use our words to bring about the best solutions, and to bring out the best in people!

What we are praying for:

First, let's pray for the health and well being of our artists. They are messengers who bring comfort, enlightenment, healing, new truth discovered or uncovered, new perspective, that can save your life! What price can you put on that?? Don't underestimate the power of the word to music, or the message through other media, pictures; painted or moving, spoken and written word, dance, all visual arts, story telling, acting, any I have missed? These are truly powerful as they evoke emotion which moves the soul to experience!

Prince

Pray that artists use their talents effectively to spread the message of love and peace.

to spread the message of love in their own unique way and encourage others to do the same.

Pray that artists will allow God's inspiration to fill their hearts
and stay true in their writing.
God will always honour an honest heart and those willing to learn.

Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me

Pray that artists get the help and support they need
when they are fighting illness or tragedy.
May they be free to bring their message of love to the world.

Let's continue to pray for peace throughout the World. Pray that each country in the Western World will have the wisdom to stop terrorist attacks on civilians, and find effective ways to prevent  cyber attacks, protecting their information and their election process.

Pray that war veterans here and all over the world will have the medical and spiritual support they need for their injuries, physical, mental and emotional.

Pray that this New Year people everywhere will experience God's love, God's peace, and that they will have the inspiration, the resources, the courage and the strength to start their lives anew! Pray that they will not be afraid to let go of the things they have outgrown and start new ways of looking at their world and new ways of doing things. May everyone stay honest and willing to learn!

What we need:

We need to get into the rhythms of Heaven and then we can proclaim things to be which may not exactly be that way yet. Walking in love we can reap many blessings in this life today!

Scriptures:

Mark 11: 23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Romans 4:17. As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Philippians 4:6-7. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 105: Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.

May the love of God, the peace of Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit fill your hearts this Season!

God loves us so much to come to be born on Earth as a baby to live among us and die for us. Isn't true spirituality to love others, give of your time to help others living on the planet? We were all born out of love. That is what we are and that should always be our motivation and intention in every thing we do.

What we are praying for:

Pray that people everywhere can feel that inner peace that strengthens and guides us no matter what our circumstances. Pray that all know that God does exist in everyone of us, we just have to choose love in order for it's power to be released.

Scriptures:

John 3:16. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:7. Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.

November Prayers 2016

This month's theme:
November is the month to remember our vets, those who risked their lives for our freedom in past wars and those presently doing so.
Let's also consider this month to pray for healing of memories, that our vets and all people are healed of trauma and grief and can receive joy from their memories of good times.

What we are praying for:
God, protect our vets from violence, protect all our men and women who are serving in military here and all over the world. Bring healing to all those traumatized. May they have the medical help they need and the encouragement of others.
God, may mental health and trauma be understood and be attended to appropriately here in Canada and the U.S.
May all those who suffer recognize it and get the understanding and help they need.
God, help all those bereaved. Comfort them, strengthen them. Give them your grace to live with passion in honour of those who have gone before them.

Pray for peace all over the world!
Remember the civilians in Syria and Iraq,
The refugees in Europe and around the world.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am that swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

September Prayers 2016

This month's theme:

Let's get washed every day! Let's clean our minds, encourage our souls by reading good books, or scripture verses, telling others about successful life stories, talking about good news, whatever we can do to make the good in us thrive! Let's build our faith so not only will we see our dreams come true, but, we will be able to help others achieve theirs!

 What we are praying for:

This is the time when people are returning from vacations, to go to work or school. God, we pray for our neighbours that they are refreshed and have new energy to face this time of their lives. May they have courage to face the new, and see new in the old! May the young students off to college and university have courage to face this new stage in their life and the parents not be afraid to let go. Protect them from harm, granting them the wisdom they need to make the right choices. Protect all children going back to school. May they all have the opportunity to learn in a safe environment. God, help us all to learn what we need to do to build courage so that we can step out and fulfill our dreams.

Pray for the fundraisers going this month throughout the GTA.
Such as:

Many festivals this month!

Pray for our movie celebrities.
Fan Expo Toronto 2016

Scriptures:

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

John 15: 3.
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
But you must abide in me if you are going to continue to be good
and reap the benefits of following me.

Hebrews 10: 19-25.
Since we have been forgiven our sins because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ,
and cleansed in our conscience and renewed in our minds
by the work of the Holy Spirit through God's word,
let's draw near to God with a loving, trusting heart and
God will draw close to us.

1 John 1:7.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Philippians 4:6-9.
Pray about all things with thanksgiving, think on all that is good, lovely and encouraging,
and the peace of God will be with you and will guard your heart and mind always!

WALLPAPERup

Choose the good and make it thrive!!

Thank you for joining us in prayer!

It's on the tip of your tongue!

What is the message that God has spoken to you to bring you to life? What is the message that God has entrusted to you to show others? Is it not the message of the gospel of peace? Is it not the message that God loves every living being and has accepted every one? The message is not about life style! Jesus did not die for the "original plan." He died for you and for me! That's where salvation is offered. He died to bring unity to all and make us all able to enter Heaven to live with Him forever!
Check out Romans 10: 8-13.

The Holy Spirit does the work!
