Theme for this month:

Be thankful in everything you do!

Let's be thankful for all the good things we have! Good food, good home, good friends, good memories!! Let's spread love and joy to all our family and friends, and don't forget those in our neighbourhood who are in need! Give as you can to those who have suffered loss. Let God's peace and love fill your heart to guide you!

Why the video this month?

Look at the people with signs in the video. Sometimes we have to look for the blessings in our lives. But focusing on what we do have
gives a better perspective. Even if we don't have friends to call on, we can call on God who will give us inner strength and change the negative to positive
and sometimes do it through others coming into our lives and sometimes through means we never thought possible! 
 

What we are praying for: 

God, we pray that families will be reunited, restored and their hearts filled with peace and love. We pray that those who feel alone will find peace in their hearts and find family among friends. May those who have lost loved ones feel your peace and comfort and find joy in their memories especially during the seasonal times of celebration. Help those who have suffered loss of any kind to receive your comfort that heals and your light that brings clear direction.

Hear our prayer, God of loving kindness.

God we pray that all festivals, fundraisers and events are safe for all who participate and those who attend 

and that all have a good experience with love, joy and peace!

God we pray for world peace. Please stop nations who have intent to harm through armament or cyber attacks from attaining the resources to do so. Grant all governments and rulers the chance to negotiate peaceably and the willingness to do so. May the rulers of all countries have the desire to seek your wisdom and use it for peace.
God, help our religious groups to seek your presence and your wisdom and take their place in helping the members of our society to heal.

What we are praying for:

God, we pray that our families, friends and neighbours embrace the changes of the seasons, and the changes that happen in their lives. We pray that they stay in tune with the cycles of nature and the changes that growing up and aging bring. We pray that everyone stays strong, healthy and remains a vibrant part of society, always being a help to others and feeling loved, needed.

God, we pray that children all over the world get good education in a safe environment 

where they learn true values and learn to accept others no matter their race or religion.

Help those who have lost loved ones to drug overdose to heal and open their hearts to your comfort.  Save our young people and grant them your wisdom concerning drugs.

God, help our religious groups to seek your presence and your wisdom and take their place in helping the members of our society to heal.

God we pray that all festivals, fundraisers and events are safe for all who participate and those who attend and that all have a good experience with love, joy and peace!

Theme for August:   Maintaining the good life!


Your life is like a song, a melody that is continuing to play on. So continue your life, your journey with confidence knowing that you are loved and your story does matter! Your unique way of telling the message of love reaches many! Rejoice in the changes you experience, the new people and the new ways of doing things. 





How do we maintain our lives in the daily grind and stay on the right track, keeping our lives happy and free? 






 

Keep good lyrics in your song. Think the best of the future and of others. Say only good things about others and be thankful for everything. Keep the melody simple. Do what you love because that's what you will do best. Make a catchy chorus with the message in a short simple form. Find the best way for you to remember the good, and the best way for you to share it. Put on the best tunes! Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you!

Everyone is important! We need everyone in the big picture of life on planet Earth! 

We are growing stronger, wiser, but only together can we do this.

The same way we all have a part to play in life. Know yourself. Know your place. 
And know you are needed, you are appreciated, you are loved! 
Know your limits, concentrate on your strengths.

See the big picture which includes everyone. Don't be afraid to give your share. 
But, don't be afraid to take your share too.




On Mother Earth we are one big family! Like a tree we can grow stronger, wiser, we can grow free. But we must stay rooted in love for this to be possible.
Where would we be without Spirit, without wisdom from above? What would fill our emptiness? What would heal our brokenness? Would the sun continue to shine and if it did would we still appreciate it's beauty?
How can we ever learn to appreciate and love ourselves and each other except through the wisdom and love that comes from above?








What we are praying for:

God, help us to know who we are and our purpose in this life.

Help us and our neighbours to recognize our abilities and talents and make the right choices so we can benefit not only ourselves, but those around us as well. Help us to know that we do count and grant us the wisdom to take care of ourselves and the gifts that come from above.

Help us to hear your wisdom and put our heart and soul into planning for the future. Help everyone in our neighbourhood to know you God, and hear your wisdom in all their plans for their lives. Help us all to follow your Spirit's leading and give you the thanks and glory due you!

Help everyone to know that they are important, and have the love in their hearts to honour those around them. Help us all to remember that everyone counts and that together we are stronger and free!

God, we pray for peace throughout the World. Help the countries to unite and win the war over terrorism. Help each country to know how they are to support refugees.
