The magic is in you!
The power of love, the power to heal and the power to dream!!
The power in you can break every chain!
The power in you can help others to achieve their dreams!

There is power in every heart to break every chain. That is the power of love! It brings healing, forgiveness and unity. It breaks every chain of fear, hatred and ignorance. There is power in every dream. God put a dream or a message in every heart that was meant to guide and give purpose to the dreamer and bring sight and freedom to others in this world. If your dream is from God it will be based on love. It will bring people together in unity and will benefit all!

We are not overcome by evil. We overcome evil by doing good!

What we are praying for:

God, help us, our community, our neighbours and our family to recognize our strengths and talents that we are to share. Help us to understand that you love us and want to empower us to fulfill our dreams. God, grant us the courage to ask for your help and allow you to fill us with your love and work in us and through us for the benefit of all those around us.

Village of Love
Big hearted women like Josephine, living in Kibera slum, despite their poverty, take in orphaned children, but they can’t provide even the basic necessities. Village of Love gives them micro-loans so they can feed their children through their own enterprise and we give some help with school fees. We’ve kept 150 children in school now over 5 years, resulting in 3 reaching university!

Prayers for May

The magic is in you!

The sunshine and the rain have kissed the Earth and she has responded with new life blooming everywhere!
God lived among us and died for us so we too can respond with new life!!

May is the month for blooming! Let your true colours come out!!
The magic is in you to love, to grow and for your talents to  bloom!

What we are praying for:

Pray that God free the hearts of the people in your neighbourhood and the GTA to let their God given talents shine!
Pray that they open their hearts to let God's Spirit change their nature to be like Christ.
Pray that they accept their unique qualities and share their talents for good, with a sense of integrity and pride!

Click here to go to: Black and White: Spring!: Let nature awaken the light that is in you!!

We must be loving if we expect others to be. The only way is to ask God's Spirit to help us and develop that quality in us. The only way to really enjoy this life is to let God's Spirit change our hearts, then we can truly walk as we should and our talents will shine and our purpose be fulfilled.

 Encouragements from scriptures:

Isaiah 40:31. As we wait patiently for the weather to warm up, those who wait for God shall be renewed in strength and hope!!

Jeremiah 29:11. God's plans for us are that we have a future and great hope!

Ephesians 2. God has made us new so we can do the things planned for us!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18. Our spirits are being renewed every day! The joys that are to come shall last forever!

2 Corinthians 5:17, 18. The old life and it's ways has gone. A new life has begun in us and this is from God
who has brought us to that life through what Christ did for us on the cross!

Galatians 5:22-25. The Holy Spirit develops the nature of Christ in us. That grows in us like good fruit!

Happy Easter!!

God raised Jesus to life! God will raise us from the dead too when eternity comes, but now God makes our lives new every day!!

Christ is the first of all who will rise from the dead. For God was pleased to live in Christ, and by him God made peace with everyone. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. ( Taken from Colossians 1:23 )

March Prayers

Spring is on the way!

March can be messy and at best dull! Let's look forward to Spring even if everything is grey! Let's remember that God's blessings are all around us even if they are not obvious. Let's look for them and be thankful every day. Remember that the snowy and rainy days are preparing the soil for the new life that's coming very soon.

What we are praying for:

Let's pray that everyone in the LGBTQI Community will never lose hope and that they will open their hearts to the blessings that God has prepared for them.

This month's theme:

Every day is new! God in our lives will make our experience new every day. New challenges, new ways of looking at things, new ideas to make a better future, new ways to love!
This year Easter is early. Not only can we look for new life in our daily lives, but we can remember that we too one day will be raised up to live with God forever as Jesus was.

Encouragements:

Hosea 6:3. Let us press on to know God, who comes to us every day
like the brilliant dawn, like a fresh spring rain!

Lamentations 3:23. God's mercies are fresh every day.

Psalm 139: 7-10. No matter where I go your hand will guide me,
your strength will support me.

James 1: 17. Every good gift is from God.

Psalm 23:6. God's goodness follows us throughout our lives and we will
live with God forever.

Spring is on the way!!

Jon Foreman - "Your Love Is Strong"

Another song that could be used for February's prayers.
Part of the Lord's prayer is used in the lyrics and the song could be sung as a prayer.

February, The Month Of Love!!

February Prayers

This month let's remember that God does really love us and that his love can be found in Jesus Christ and his actions toward us,
not just in his death for us but in his communicating with us every day.

What we are praying for:

Let's pray that everyone in the LGBTQI Community will sense God's love and know they are not alone,
that God is with them all the time, and that they allow God's love to fill their hearts,
so they can love themselves and those around them.

This month's theme:

God's love is there for us and is enough! God is watching over us in every area of our lives.
God's love is the safe harbour, the anchor of our souls!
God's love gives us the strength to face life's challenges!

Encouragements:
How do we know that God loves us?

1 John 3:16a, John 3:16, Romans 5:8
God showed his love for us by sending his son to die for us.

Romans 8: 32, 38-39
If God would give up his son for us, wouldn't he give us all our needs too?
Nothing in all creation will ever be able to seperate us from the love of God
that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:4,5
God loves us so much that he gave us eternal life when he raised Christ
from the dead.

Let the Holy Spirit fill your heart with God's love. It will strengthen you, inspire you and bring you peace, joy and healing throughout your life!

Winter Blues!

January Prayers

Happy New Year!!

It's not about making “New Year's Resolutions”. It's about choosing the light every day of the year! Our bodies are renewing cells and healing themselves every moment. Just the same we need to choose those things that bring us healing, peace and joy into our lives every day.

What we are praying for:

Let's pray that everyone in the LGBTQI Community accept God's love
and not be afraid to ask God for help in their lives.

This month's theme:

We can look at “New Year's Resolutions” in different ways.

  1. Same old, but, in new perspective. Change the way you look at your life if everything has to remain the same.
  1. Same old, but, done in a new way. Breathe new life into old bones.
The change is as good as a rest! Tweak instead of overhaul!
  1. Learn new tricks. Do something new, learn new ways of doing things, go down a different path, go down a new path, do new things within
your comfort zone that are still familiar so you don't feel lost or get out of your comfort zone and try completely different things to stretch and grow!

It's your life, your story that you are writing, so there is no right or wrong, just lessons to be learned! Remember who your source is.
God is your strength! God is your guide!

Encouragements:

God is in the details! God will cover you in the old and the new, the familiar and the strange! God's got your back!!

Ephesians 2:10. The Holy Spirit will enable us to do God's work on Earth.
God will raise us up to live with him in Heaven.

2 Corinthians 12: 8-11. When I am weak, the Holy Spirit is strong within
me and enables me to do God's will and changes
me into the likeness of Christ.

John 3: 27-36. God in Heaven appoints each person's work.
God becomes greater and greater, we become less.

Psalm 118: 13-14. The Lord is my strength and song,
God has become my victory.

Psalm 37: 23. God delights in every detail of our lives!
And not to judge, but to help, for our best interest!

Remember where strength and love comes from!
Thank you for your prayers!
All the best to you for this year!
