Summer is here at last!! And the heat is building! With the plants growing full and tall, the skies so deep and blue, and all the critters around, our world has come alive! It's the perfect environment to spur on our imagination. Are you open to the beauty around you? Can you imagine great things coming to you? Can you see your world as a better place in the future? Imagine, dream the best and not the worst!

so healing will come to the world around you? 

 Keep your hopes up!

What we are praying for:

God, please pour out your spirit and inspire people in our communities to let you fill their hearts with your love. 
May they feel your presence and know you are real. Enable them to forgive and reach out to those around them with your love.

God, protect all public gatherings, the celebrations and fund raisers. 

May people everywhere be safe. Help those in charge to have the wisdom 

to stop all acts of violence and prevent accidents. 

God, help those who organize protests to do it safely and respectfully.  May protests be effective, bringing change 
that is necessary. Protect all who support them. Stop those who try to bring the protests to violence.

God, bring your healing to all those who are sick. Keep our hospitals a safe place for all within. Help the doctors and all health care workers to do their jobs with expertise and respect. May all who enter there get the care they need and be protected from harm and disease. Fill the hospitals and all medical care facilities with love, joy and peace.

1 John 4: 7. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

This month's Theme:

To believe is to love, to take action is to live! What action do you do on a daily basis that makes the world a better place? This month we are celebrating life! In all it's glory and pain. It takes effort  to live on this planet but it's worth it!! Love is the key that unlocks all possibilities and guides the way!



Where is your heart, what do you believe in, what are you proud to be a part of? What do you do when dreams fail or things don't happen as planned? Maybe you just experienced a detour and you have to change your plans or even your beliefs. In any case are you still proud to be you? Do you still believe in love?

What we are praying for:

Let's continue to pray that people everywhere will walk away from fear when they  have to face trying times. May they continue to be proud and have the courage to do what is necessary to overcome adversity no matter what it is, whether it is disease, loss, danger, or persecution. Love from above always prevails and preserves! It should always be our motive and guide.

God, we pray for all fathers that you watch over, protect and guide with your wisdom and love.

Matthew 5:16. Let your light shine so that people can see your good works, be thankful and be inspired to do the same!

John 8:31-32. If you follow the teachings of love then you will come to know the truth and the truth will set you free! 

1John 1:5-7. But if we walk in the light as God is in the light, we have fellowship with him and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.

May 2018

This month we are remembering those who suffered acts of violence including those affected by the attack on the streets in North York. We remember those bereaved and those injured and those traumatized. We will be praying for safety in our streets throughout North America. We also pray for those in Humboldt and all those affected by the accident that took the lives of many of their hockey team.

We must not fear. We must remember that we are watched over, that we are loved and that as we love, 

the opportunities to grow and learn and give will come to us. 

April this year was more like January, but finally warmed up the last week. So the sun with the colourful blooms are coming, if a little late. 

The dark and gloom is disappearing and our hearts are being lifted up at last!

What we are praying for:

God, comfort and heal those who are injured and those who are traumatized and those who are bereaved. Help all to live without fear in honour of 
loved ones lost. Help all to continue their dreams and encourage others to grow and fulfill their dreams too. Strengthen them from within by your Spirit. 
Help those in charge to make our streets and highways safe. Help our health care system provide the help needed to those suffering mental illness. Help  everyone to recognize those in distress and reach out to them before they become offenders. 
Help everyone to allow your love in their hearts and work together for peace.

Scriptures:

Matthew 11: 28-30. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Romans 8: 11. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. 

2 Corinthians 1:3-4. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.

April showers bring May flowers!

Now with Spring comes the rain! The rain's pure water refreshes the earth and restores her! 

It brings the right conditions for the seeds to germinate, sending out roots to grow the plants 

and feed the blooms.                                                

Let the warm rains of Spring refresh you, heal you, strengthen you and wash you clean! 

It may seem gloomy now, but sunshine and colour will soon bring a new day!!

Water is essential for life! It also represents not only new life and growth but purity, refreshing, cooling when it's hot. It's lucid and free flowing, yet has strength to shape and cut through rocks! 
It's clear, it magnifies and intensifies the light. It freshens the air and washes everything clean! 
Without water nothing can live.

Rejoice in the rain! 

Wait for God to raise you up!

Don't be afraid to retreat to your "safe place" during those dark rainy times. That's where you can find the answers from God, from that place of love where truth and acceptance live! Make a cool well watered place for yourself where you can find solace, where you can find the calm and the strength that you need. It's there for everyone. All you have to do is ask!

What we are praying for:

God, we pray that our neighbours will never lose hope. Help them to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel during their dark times. Help them to learn how to take care of themselves and those around them when times are hard. Help them to remember their spiritual side as well as their physical. 
God help our neighbours to take the time to nurture their spirits on the good days. 
Help them to feed on all that is healthy. Help them to take advantage of all the help available to them and help others when they can.




 Scriptures:

Often the scriptures of the Bible are referred to as water, saying it feeds us and washes us clean and we can't live without it. 
 
Hosea 6:3. Let us press on to know God, who comes to us everyday like the brilliant dawn, like a fresh spring rain!

2 Corinthians 4:16. Our inner being is renewed every day!

Matthew 11: 28-30. Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls."

THINK ABOUT IT! The disciples are probably in shock. They just witnessed the brutal execution of this loving man they thought was going to bring freedom from the Romans. They remember some of what Jesus said about being raised to life, but they are unsure what He meant and are struggling to believe it. Life around them in the city is back to normal but they have no idea what is to happen next...

Sunlight represents truth, purity, righteousness, growth and life.

During March we see more sunlight! As the sunlight increases, nature begins to wake up and the plants begin to grow and in time they will bloom. 

In the same way, as we continue in a positive, loving attitude while doing good for others we will reap the benefits! All that is good will come to us!
The commands in the Bible were not meant to bring punishment but were designed to bring us health and prosperity! There are benefits to being kind to others and keeping a loving attitude. God gives us the Holy Spirit who helps us do these things. The Holy Spirit will show us all that is true and the key to receiving that is in keeping a loving attitude as you show kindness to others.  If you want the light, if you want the truth, you must be loving to everyone with a sincere heart. 

 

Fall in love with life again!!  Walk in your cool garden and be refreshed!!

What we are praying for:

God, help our neighbours to awaken to  your love in their hearts. Help them to remember their spiritual part of their beings and make the right choices to nurture their spirits and grow in your ways.

God, bring peace to all the countries in conflict. May diplomacy be upheld and violence be stopped. Bring peace to Syria. Save the children. Make the way for all civilians to be safe. May children all over the world be protected even in places of war. Help those in charge to make all schools safe. May all children have the chance for good education in a safe accepting environment.

Mathew 6: 19-24. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. < If you delight in all the selfish pleasures and material things for you, then your understanding and you life will become dark. If you delight in the well being and good fortune of others then you will reap the benefits of that and your heart will be full of light and peace, and all that is good will come to you!>

Galatians 6:7-10. You reap whatever you sow. <If you sow good seeds of kindness to others you will reap all that is good in this life and the next. >
