Prayers for February 2022

We are not here on this planet to preach love or to teach love. We are here to love! The best way we can experience newness of life in the new year is to love others. As we give it away to others through our actions and what we say, love will heal us and flow through us to bring healing to those around us.               Don't preach it. Live it!!

Love locks people together making a union that lasts!

Let love always dwell in your heart!

Let it grow and never underestimate it!

Always protects,
Always helps!!

Real love comes to us from above

And flows through us to those around us!

Whether it's friends, family, co-workers
or that significant other,
honesty, commitment, and respect are key!

What we are praying for:

God, we pray for the peace and safety of our neighbourhoods. Please help everyone to live with respect to others and really care for each other lovingly. May those who are a threat to themselves or others get the help they need. Give wisdom to neighbours to see the warning signs and look out for one another. Help those in charge to make our neighbourhoods safe places for everyone including our children. May they put the laws and policies in place to keep our streets, our schools and day cares safe places for all.

God, please touch everyone who is afraid and who is alone during this time. Fill their hearts with your peace and help them to find their place in community.

God, help our cities provide proper shelters and warming centers for the homeless. Grant those in charge the wisdom to know what has to be done to provide for the needs of the homeless. Help them to solve the opioid crisis and provide safe places for those addicted.

Help our governments throughout the world to work together in peace and solve their problems diplomatically. Help them to find the right solutions to heal the planet and to stop the spread of disease.

Scriptures:

Deuteronomy 6:5. Love God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your strength!

Jeremiah 29:13. You will find me when you seek me with all your heart!

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

1 John 4:7. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Thanks for praying with us!
