August Prayers 2017

Theme for August:   Maintaining the good life!

Your life is like a song, a melody that is continuing to play on. So continue your life, your journey with confidence knowing that you are loved and your story does matter! Your unique way of telling the message of love reaches many! Rejoice in the changes you experience, the new people and the new ways of doing things.

How do we maintain our lives in the daily grind and stay on the right track, keeping our lives happy and free?

Keep good lyrics in your song. Think the best of the future and of others. Say only good things about others and be thankful for everything. Keep the melody simple. Do what you love because that's what you will do best. Make a catchy chorus with the message in a short simple form. Find the best way for you to remember the good, and the best way for you to share it. Put on the best tunes! Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you!

Check this out! Couldn't of said it better!

"God is ready to fill your life with good things! He wants to keep you young and strong. Do your part and make room for Him. Every morning empty out the guilt. Empty out the worry. Empty out the discouragement. And when the impurities come, when the infections come, don't let it stay, let it pass on through. Keep your heart pure. If you do this, I believe and declare you're going to step up to a new level with more joy, more peace, more favour, healing, wholeness, the fullness of your destiny, in Jesus name!" Joel Osteen

"Just because you have a reason to be negative because of things that happened in the past, once you know the truth then we have no right to stay that way because God is offering a better life. But it's gotta be according to His way of getting there, not our own way." Joyce Myer

What we are praying for:

God we pray for our neighbours to have the joy of living, that they know they are loved and make the right choices that release the power of love in their lives! Help them to know what to pray for themselves and their family and help them to know how they are to reach out to others.

God we pray for world peace. Please stop nations who have intent to harm through armament or cyber attacks from attaining the resources to do so. Grant all governments and rulers the chance to negotiate peaceably and the willingness to do so. May the rulers of all countries have the desire to seek your wisdom and use it for peace.

God, help those in authority positions to solve the opioid epidemic in North America. Help all involved in drug addiction to break free and heal. Help those who have lost loved ones to drug overdose to heal and open their hearts to your comfort.  Save our young people and grant them your wisdom concerning drugs.

Help our religious groups to seek your presence and your wisdom and take their place in helping the members of our society to heal.

God we pray that all festivals, fundraisers and events are safe for all who participate and those who attend and that all have a good experience with love, joy and peace!

Scriptures:  How do you keep the good life?

Love!
Galatians 5:6. What matters is faith expressing itself through love.
<Your unique way of telling the message of love reaches many! >

Watch your tongue!
Ephesians 4: 29. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Proverbs 15: 4. The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

Believe!
Romans 10:10. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Mark 11:24. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Give!!
Luke 6:38. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.

Thank you for praying with us!
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you,
the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
Ephesians 1: 18-19.
