This month let's remember our vets, and remember the need for healing and mental health, theirs and our own.
Let's remember that everyone belongs here, no matter their state of health or age.

This month's theme:
November is the month to remember our vets, those who risked their lives for our freedom in past wars and those presently doing so.
Let's also consider this month to pray for healing of
memories, that our vets and all people are healed of trauma and grief
and can receive joy from their memories of good times.
What we are praying for:
What we are praying for:
God, protect our vets from violence, protect all our men
and women who are serving in military here and all over the world.
Bring healing to all those traumatized. May they have the medical
help they need and the encouragement of others.
God, may mental health and trauma be understood and be
attended to appropriately here in Canada and the U.S.
May all those who suffer recognize it and get the
understanding and help they need.
God, help all those bereaved. Comfort them, strengthen
them. Give them your grace to live with passion in honour
of those who have gone before them.
God we pray for world peace. Please stop nations who have intent to harm through armament or cyber attacks from attaining the resources to do so. Grant all governments and rulers the chance to negotiate peaceably and the willingness to do so. May the rulers of all countries have the desire to seek your wisdom and use it for peace.
God, help our religious groups to seek your presence and your wisdom and take their place in helping the members of our society to heal.
God
we pray that all festivals, fundraisers and events are safe for all
who participate and those who attend
and that all have a good
experience with love, joy and peace!

We can gain the strength and wisdom we need from above if we simply ask.
Ephesians 6:10-18.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. <We have God's mighty power protecting us and fighting for us!>
1 John 4:12.
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
Philippians4: 6-9.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
Joshua 1:9. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Psalm 34:18. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Ephesians 2:19. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family.
Romans 12:21.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

We can't be free on our own strength, so we are not expected to do it ourselves. When we depend on self discipline our focus is on the habit or hurtful behaviour. When we surrender to love, to the new way of life, to God, then our focus is no longer on the old way, but on healing and the new ways that bring the healing.
Thank you for praying with us!!
