Let's take back our city streets!!

This month we are praying that people in every neighbourhood and every community in the GTA take back the city streets!! It's time for people to come together like never before and this includes everyone! All need to feel like they belong and are accepted in their community. No one being left out or made to feel different from the rest. And anyone who doesn't seem to fit in or appears to be withdrawing from others or appears to be in distress
needs to be reached out to and invited to be a part!!

What we are praying for:

God, help everyone who suffers mental illness and all who have suffered rejection, and those who feel lonely or isolated to get the help they need.
Help our communities to provide the right services for these individuals and make them accessible.
Help us to recognize those in distress and how to reach out to them. Raise up groups to offer support.
Raise up people in every neighbourhood to pray for their community.
God, bring your comfort, salvation and healing to those who suffered violence and those bereaved. Help those in charge restore peace to our city streets.
God, help everyone to be loving and respectful no matter their differences in race, religion or sexuality.

Scriptures from the Bible:

Galatians 6:2. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.

1 Peter 4:8-10. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

John 13:34-35. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Scriptures from the Quran:

1. Goodness does not consist in turning your face towards East or West. The truly good are those who believe in God and the Last Day, in the angels, the Scripture, and the prophets; who give away some of their wealth, however much they cherish it, to their relatives, to orphans, the needy, travelers and beggars and to liberate those in debt and bondage; those who keep up the prayers and pay the prescribed alms; who keep pledges whenever they make them; who are steadfast in misfortune, adversity and times of danger. These are the ones who are true, and it is they who are aware of God.
(Al Quran 2:178)

Continue to enjoy life and take advantage of the choice to help others always!
Thank you for praying for the peace and well being of our great city!
