The Long Days Of Summer Are Here! August, 2021

Normally we would be winding down, but because we are being set free more and more from lockdown,

things appear to be opening up and people are getting outside as much as they can!

Mercy me, Marvin Gaye

In the excitement be sure to take care of yourself and don't go where you don't feel comfortable.

We can take our time, for if we do, then that's what we will have more of!

Rejoice in life! Don't be afraid to be the best you can be!

Let your talents shine and that way encourage others to do the same!

And let's not forget to reach out to those in need, the lonely
and depressed, making sure everyone is cared for! Remember, give only what you can.

Give out of your own talents and then you won't lack anything.

What we are praying for:

God, raise up people to pray for every neighbourhood throughout Canada. Help people to see the things they have in common and reach out in love. Help us to keep peace in every home, every street.

Help our gov't to make the right decisions in ending the pandemic, getting all people vaccinated, and restoring our relations with the indigenous people.

God, forgive us our selfishness and help us to turn to you and your ways. Help us to treat Mother Earth right and solve global warming.

Scriptures and meditations:

Mathew 5:16. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

John 15:12. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Nehemiah 8:10. Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared.                                          This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Genesis 2:15. The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Proverbs 19:17. Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Thanks for praying with us!

Enjoy the rest of the summer!!
