 What we are praying for:

God, we pray for all those who are suffering all over the world. God, we pray for those who have lost loved ones. Please open their hearts to your love and forgiveness and help them to have the courage to live in honour of those they lost. Help those injured to have the courage to face life's challenges and know they are loved. May they get the help and encouragement they need.

May those who have lost their home find a better place and have the strength to adapt.

God, help our health care system provide the help needed to those suffering mental illness. Help everyone to recognize those in distress and reach out to them before they become a danger to themselves or others.

God, help our government to be wise and strong in their decision making and diplomacy. 

Help them to be compassionate to the poor, the elderly and those needing mental and physical care.

 

 

Scriptures and meditations:

2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Ephesians 3:16-17. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

  

Ephesians 1:18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called; his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

John 14:26. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
